School is in full swing in most parts of the country. An estimated 55 million schoolboys and schoolgirls will be attending Pre-K through High School this year, and they’ll spend an estimated 69 billion dollars on supplies, backpacks and shiny new kicks. A fifth of them will speak a language other than English at home, and their governments will spend a per capita average of $10, 500 on their yearly education.
